RCOG Careers Fair 2010

The 6th Annual RCOG Careers Fair, which took place on Saturday, the 20th November 2010, was attended by 200 medical students and foundation year 1 & 2 doctors. Various specialties within the RCOG were represented with an array of stalls for students to browse through.

BSUG stand and lecture room was jointly run by by its Honorary Secretary Miss RaneeThakar- Consultant Urogynaecologist at Croydon University Hospital, Caroline North - a urogynaecology subspec trainee, Bini Ajay, Madhu Naidu , Alka Bhide and Ganesh Thiagamoorthy who are all Specialist Registrars in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

They put forward interactive demonstrations using Pelvic models and gave a range of talks and provided an interesting, practical and realistic insight into the world of urogynaecology.

The BSUG stand and lecture room was busy all day with many young and dedicated students showing an interest in our speciality and the day proved extremely successful.

The additional promise of chocolates and pens made our stand very popular. Well done to all the enthusiastic volunteers who gave up their precious Saturday to represent the Society. We hope the candidates whom you have inspired will join the speciality in the future.
