The BSUG National SUI Audit of all procedures in 2013 (commissioned by HQIP)

The HQIP SUI Audit was a national audit of all procedures in 2013. This has now been analysed. Some salient findings include:
- 92.3% were very much better/much better at their follow up visit following any incontinence procedure.
- Midurethral synthetic slings had a success rate greater than 90%.
- 3.7% of patients undergoing an incontinence operation had an intraoperative complication.
- Compared to 2013, the number of synthetic slings have halved in 2017 with an 8 fold rise in Bladder neck injections and a 5 fold rise in colposuspensions.
